This piece was originally developed by us for pulsed-power research and later adapted for artistic purposes. It is designed for wall display, with special mounting located on the back.

CONCEPT

More and more people are reclaiming items from waste. Things discarded as „bulky waste” were once seen as the domain of outcasts, but now objects disappear from the streets within minutes. This observation sparks certain reflections. In the future, due to the costs of the energy transition, everything of high quality will become more expensive and harder to access. Likewise, objects designed by humans, not AI, will be particularly valuable. The world, already attuned to upcycling, might turn its attention to creating decorative objects from machine parts.

Our work presents a fragment of an electrical device transformed into art. ‚ETNA-1-100-5400’ takes the shape of a volcano, symbolizing transformation, destruction, and inevitability. We see them as tools for positive change: transformation – to improve, destruction – to turn something into creation, inevitability – the courage to step into the future.
